I’ve seen while searching keywords, Pinterest is pushing product pins. In my opinion, that’s the main reason for the traffic decline.
I’m not alone in saying this….
Summary of what Pinterest users on Reddit saying:
“I’m not just talking about a few extra ads. I’m talking about nearly every pin on my feed being some kind of product from a store like Shein, White Fox, or Beginning Boutique. But wait – they’re not even marked as ads! It’s almost as if Pinterest has turned into a virtual shopping mall, with 90% of the content being products disguised as regular pins..”

We get it – every platform needs ads to survive. But at what cost? I’ve been reading comments and posts from fellow users, and the frustration is real.
Many are saying, “Pinterest used to be full of unique ideas, but now it’s just products with price tags under them. If you use Pinterest for outfit ideas, like me, it’s frustrating. Instead of discovering creative outfits from regular users, I’m bombarded with posts that feel more like a catalog of clothing stores.”
The founders of the platform seem to have left behind its original purpose. I’ve seen multiple posts where people are even ready to pay for extensions etc. to block those product pins or ads from the feed.

After reading this, it looks like Pinterest is promoting product pins instead of regular pins. Because of that most of us are having traffic decline. What do you think about this?
