How I'm Growing My Pinterest Sites!

From Keyword Research to Pageviews.

More than 5 billion searches are made on Pinterest every month and it’s only the best platform that can give thousands of pageviews for free.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on Pinterest to grow my site’s traffic. Spoiler alert: It’s working.

In this newsletter, I’m going to share the steps I’ve been taking to grow my sites with Pinterest.

1. Niche Selection

Niche selection is an important step for the success of your site on Pinterest. Pinterest is a visual search engine, and visual content performs great on it.

Some popular niches include:

  • Home Decor

  • Fashion

  • Beauty

  • Food Recipes

  • Health and Fitness

  • DIY and Crafts

  • Parenting

  • Travel

For more ideas, you can explore Pinterest trends and interest section.

2. Keyword Research

Pinterest’s search bar and trends are powerful tools for keyword research. For new websites find keywords using the Pinterest trends.

You can use the Pinterest interest and keyword option there to find growing keywords. These keywords will give your site initial traction. When you’ll start getting a good amount of traffic.

You can start using the Pinterest search bar for more keywords. Start typing a general idea related to your interests (like “things to do”) and look at the autocomplete suggestions.

These are popular keywords that people are actively looking for.

3. Content Writing

Pinterest content is different than traditional SEO articles. Pinterest is a visual platform because of that we’ve to add a lot of images and videos.

Suppose you’re writing an article on “beautiful places in the world” For that you’ve to write an article that has images and information about multiple beautiful places.

4. Pin Creation

To get traffic from Pinterest to your website you need to create pins. For most niches, text overlay pins work best.

You can create your pins like those, I’m not saying to copy them. Just get the idea of what kind of pins will perform for your niche. (Simple image, text overlay with images, or just text)

What’s Next?

This was just an overview of my process, in the upcoming emails I’ll explain each of these steps.

The next email will be about niche selection for the Pinterest site. If you’ve any topic in mind you can reply and let me know.
